TH.2058

In 2008, Tate Modern asked Preloaded to create an interactive walkthrough of their current turbine hall exhibition, TH.2058. They wanted something which would be more playful and gamelike than their existing walkthroughs.

We responded by pitching an interactive video walkthrough of the exhibition; a Steadicam would be taken on a journey through the installation and the resulting video would be presented to users as a freely scrubbable journey, moving backwards and forwards along the recorded path at their leisure. Dynamic hotspots would link off to relevant information about sculptures and other detail points in the exhibition.

I was lead creative on the project, from initial concept to (almost) final product. I art directed the video shoot and site and liaised with our chosen video production partner.

Unfortunately, the site was canned at the 11th hour due to an unexpected change of mind by the exhibition's curating artist.
