Bloomberg Pulse Quiz
I rounded off 2009 with a thoroughly enjoyable few weeks at SAS, creating a Flash-based quiz machine to join the campus-hopping Bloomberg graduate recruitment show.
The quiz runs on one of Bloomberg's trading workstations and uses a heart rate monitor to judge contestants' performance during a game which uses all kinds of dirty tricks to put them off and place them under stress.
I created all the software for the quiz, including a multiple-monitor Flash setup and a custom Processing backend to connect the game with the heart rate monitor hardware. I also contributed some code and advice to help get the hardware itself working.
